Download on the App StorePathReel requires two permissions to work properly:
Select your activity type and tap "Start Recording". PathReel tracks your route in the background. Lock your phone and use other apps normally.
Go to Trips > select a trip > tap "Replay Route". Control playback speed, camera height, and map style.
Long-press any item in the timeline to add a personal note. Notes appear during replay and in exported videos.
Tap the export button during replay. PathReel captures every frame and encodes it as HEVC video.
View driving statistics, records, and a heatmap. Filter by 7 days, 30 days, or all time.

PathReel is designed with privacy at its core. All your data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.
PathReel does not collect: personal information, location data to any server, photos, or usage analytics.
All data is stored locally on your device: GPS track points, trip metadata, notes, and app settings.
Location (Always) — Used solely to record GPS routes. Never leaves your device.
Photo Library — Used to display trip photos and save exported videos.
Apple Maps/MapKit — Map display and POI lookup via Apple's servers.
App Store — Update check via iTunes API. No personal data sent.
When you share via the iOS share sheet, PathReel provides the file to your chosen platform. PathReel itself does not upload anything.
PathReel does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
